MdlExport.dle exporter plugin for 3dstudio Max
29 July 2001 Beta

(Recompiled for use in 3D Studio MAX 3.1 by Jon Korein)

Installation.
Copy MdlExport.dle to your plugin directory in max.
Next time max is run the plugin will be available for use.

Usage.
1. Set the start and end animation times. (Time configuration button)
(The default is 0-100 when max starts)
3. Choose file->export and select GameStudio Mdl
4. A dialog will appear
5. Pressing the 'Export Frame Range' button exports the curent frame range.
6. Pressing the 'Export Single Frame' button exports the 1st frame only.
7. Checking the 'High Precision' box creates an mdl with more acurate coordinates.
8. Checking the 'Alpha Channel' box creates a skin with an alpha channel from any
maps in max that support alpha channels ie. Tga bitmaps.

9. Frame names can be added to the start of each of the models different animation
sequences. To do this create a Dummy helper object and name it "FrameNames".
Open the track view and select the Dummy object. Click on add Track notes.
add note keys at the time you want a sequence of frames to be named. Right
click on the key and type in the name of the frame. ie idle, walk etc. You
only need to add a note key at the start of each animation sequence.
If there is no track note or note keys the frames will be named framexxx.

Model Requirements.
Mesh objects with texture coordinates, and a standard material with a
diffuse bitmap are exported.
Hidden objects are ignored.

Note. The Chilliskinner script and Texporter plugin are a great help in
      modeling mdls
