EURIPIDES RPG LEVEL by Ren Unger

Be sure that all needed files are in the folder you installed EURIPIDES into.


There are some things that i had not the time to fix:

TERRAIN
Although i spend more than two weeks on the terrain and the terrain map 
(terrain creation, finding out wich size of the terrain the gameengine on my computer could handle, finding textures for the terrain .....)
the terrain map is still not exactly how i wanted it to be.
Especially the roads are still not exactly where they should be:
There is a way up to the stonehouse (in the centre of the map) that is a bit left to the road drawn on the terrain map.
The way up into the mountains in the forrest (in the north of the map) is also on the left side of the road.
The way between the hill around the stonehouse and the mountain to the right makes some sharp turns.

Some textures, especially the stonetexture for the mountains, are not always exactly where i wanted them to be.

When clicking on the terrain in the game or running up a hill or mountain or running into an model on the terrain the screen is "jumping" up and down.
I have not adjusted the glide parameter to fix this.

PLAYER
Especially when running is the weapon not in the hand of the player model but "flying" next to it and the helmet is "flying" behind the model.
When casting the kugle model where the particles for the spell are drawn onto is sometimes visible.
Sometimes the player gets negative xp (i checked the npc hitpoints damage and defence if they are set an they are).

These things could be bugs of the rpg templates (i used the templates from nighthawks rpg 2.0 demolevel to have a playable rpg level 
before the deadline of the Libro and Sybex programming contest. I modified the bitmaps or created  some of them new. Modified the diastrings and the items.)

CAMERA
I used the isocamera from te rpg templates that causes "jumping" of the screen and did not optimise the parameters.

MODELS
I modified the reddragon, skelguar, rat, beefeed2, man, waragin, exitsign, wasp, skeleton, spider and some house models: Expieriented with the animation and the skins.
I used the beefeed2 model as golem and mirrored the right punch so the model flips the faces somewhat when attacking.
You cant go into the buildings because i modified the skins of existing building models.


So far to the somewhat annoying "bugs".


Now here are some 

HINTS
If the screen is "jumping" ESC (-> Mainmenue -> Button Continue) helps sometimes.
If you climb on a mountain a bit you get an overview about the terrain.

If you explore the terrain you will find spells: i modified the waragin model so that it looks a bit like some danish candy (red and white).

To fight the biggest enemy npc you need high attack, defence and health stats.

Because of the rpg templates dropitem function you may find the best equipment after fighting easy enemy npcs (e.g. wasps or rats).
