You couldn't
create great looking, huge terrains. Until now. This hot feature allows
you to use 2 different bitmaps: the regular old one (when the distance
between the player and the terrain is big) and a smaller one that adds
details to the terrain when the player is close.
Local variables
These variables
exist only inside the function that defines them. If several copies of
the same function are running each copy uses its own independent set of
local variables.
Terragen support, static terrain shadows
Med can import Terragen raw files for terrain. The good news is that Terragen can create skins that simulate shadows so your terrains will have shadows from now on.
