d3d_shadowdepth

 

This variable can be set to 4 in order to decrease the amount of memory that is used for the shadow maps. The default value is 24, so with d3d_shadowdepth = 4 you will only need 16.6 % of the memory that would have been needed for the shadow maps until now. The quality of the image will decrease but you can save a lot of video memory.
