A device programmer, also called "chip programmer" or "circuit programmer", is a tool for transferring data into programmable integrated circuits, such as ROMs, EPROMs, EEPROMs, Flash Memory, GALs, PALs, PLDs, CPLDs, FPGAs, and microcontrollers. This forum is for discussions about features and issues of universal device programmers, such as the GALEP-5 and GALEP-5D programmers from Conitec.

Generating a gpf2-File without data buffer
      #577 - 08/21/08 01:04 PM

Hello,

we use your GALEP5 device and have one question regarding programming EPROMs in batch mode.

We would prefer if in the *.gpf2-File there would only be a link to the *.bin file which includes the data buffer. The reason is that we do not want to generate a new *.gpf2-File if the *.bin-file with the data buffer has changed.

In the documentation we did not found a solution for our question.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can link the buffer to a file, under Options->Application. In that case the buffer content is not saved, but the link to the file is saved instead.
