Gathering of Developers has recently released Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe as a freware game http://www.gathering.com/hd2/hddeluxe.html (aprox 260 meg) it's a good game to learn from as well as just sitting down to play.

If your a dial up user ( like me) i recomend you use the fileplanet download site. thier download manager lets you continue the donwload if you get disconnected before finishing ( besides downloading usualy 2X normal dialup speed)

I sort of like it because it has a look and feel of a game that could have been done in 3DGS ( controls and difficulty could have been a little better ) but nothing is done in this game that 3DGS couldn't do easiliy and this game did very well commercialy.

This is one game me and my brothers finished in coop. mode all the way
Rare game that still has its special movement, not just "copy-pasted" so it looks like just another shooter... I bought H&D 2 also, had best levels ive seen in a shooter. Shame they kikced out the multiplayer coop. mode, but never the less these games have a special spot on my hard disk.

In my opinion H&D and H&D2 are definitly the games that proove that all the graphical beauty of a game cannot beat excellent "game-mood" and game play.

I loved these games,
the overall level design was really good,
they obviously looked at a lot of war movies and researched things a lot.
Thats just goes to show you.
I felt more in these worlds than say the doom 3 world.
I think though GS using new pcs and shaders can make games more modern looking than the first game at least.
James.

I like it but i have one problem texts appears randomly - that means often i can't see them! For example i can't see the skills of the character. That means only texts/Fonts no graphics.
Althougth i looks pretty good!!!
