Is there an estimated time of release for the replacement of A7? I currently have A6 and have not touched it for a while and I want to upgrade, but not sure if I should upgrade now, or just wait for the new one.

Lifetime of A6 was 4 years, A7 was released in 2007, we now have 2009, so it will be 2 more years until A8, but I guess more, the time increased from version to version. Conitec just announced to hire two more programmers in fall for the further development of A7, so I think you will have to wait pretty long.
