Thank you for the kind words and sorry Foxhound for my(mental) absence.

Prophet,Streetkicker is a commercial failure ..
Few sales .Less than 25 (doesnot mean that i sold more than 20 though ).If you count that i make 3,5 euros per sale ,then its nothing compared to the time and money i have invested in the game.
But this is only the empty half of the glass .
Because the filled half of the glass is that ,as you said, i finished a game that i personnally made. And thats a satistfaction ill keep all my life ,and tell it to my little children ...
And when i saw the first sale, i was extremely happy and hopped everywhere in the house .I havenot felt this joy since long time !

I am really happy that someone posted something about Streetkicker.
I would like a real job in game industry, and no company here in France bothers to answer me when i send them emails.
Its getting depressive .
At the moment i was really hesitating to spend more time on the KickBoxing game i started ...
Sometimes i just think to drop everything about 3DGS and go work at the factory ...

There are literally hundreds of shareware and game demo download sites available.
I think you're only listed with a small handful. What you need, are downloads on a more massive scale.
Also, If you haven't already tried, send your info out to some of the gameportals like Bigfish, etc. http://www.bigfishgames.com If you get one of them to accept, your game could easily be distributed accross their affiliate network sites.

It would be cool to see an update to this game.

I wouldn't give up. You started and finished a game. That is a start. Now you have a foundation. Use that to produce a sequel. It will take less time and you can fix everything that people didn't like and add more stuff to it. This gave you a bit of experience, use it to expand. Not many can say they finished their game.

prophet makes a very good point... take this new knowledge you now have and use it to make an improved version of this, or another game.
All things considered, this is a really cool game!
Great job on it.

I tried to beat this into his head through IM, but maybe he'll listen more here.

To make a game so quickly going from no knowledge to finished game shows some raw talent. Use that talent, throw in some "I'm going to do it right this time!" maybe mix that with some feeling to get even with an ex-GF all while talking about "blowing up the world" and I'm sure you can make a good game.

What? What are you looking at? *Did they see the giraffe pics on my harddrive? Who wouldn't apperciate those long slender necks?*

This is definately a good game. I played the demo a few times over, and saw no outstanding bugs or errors. All around fun too, who dosent enjoy beating the crap out of people, honestly. The only thing I would add is the ability to run faster. Or, did you take the running feature out in order to limit how far the player could advance in the 200 second demo??? If so, very shrewd. Anyways, great job, especially for a first game!!!

Wow, this is very impressive for your first game! I am going to buy it! I started a game called froggy boxing a while ago but I didnt get far with scripting. I really admire your hard work and dedication. I am inspired.

Me and a couple of people are in the planning stages of a fight game too. It is a pretty different concept than yours. Well it is pretty different all together, the writer is very good.

I would love to get a copy of your .wdl I don't know if you want to share it. I can pay a little money for it if you want, I am on a tight budget.

When me and my team have more info on the game we are making I will show it on the forums. Maybe you will be interested in helping out. We could use someone talented and dedicated like you.

Take care.

This is a very fun game. It’s worth trying to re-market it or at least working on a sequel.

Sometime back someone on this forum mentioned a way to get a game wide independent distribution.

Maybe these same people would like to market your game for you. Some people are just better marketers.

If it helps, you’ve sold 24 more games than I have and I’ve been around here for 5 years.

Good luck in the future.
