Well I must say, despite the various negatives, There is a sort of professionalism involved here.
I only saw the trailer, so here'e my thoughts based on that.
I'll do the pro's and cons also, Fortunatly, only just simple changes will make your game tons better!
The music... though a good start, doesnt even maintain a beat. Its like it's all jumbled and confusing. BUT it's a good 'type' of music fo the trailer. Make it so it has a regular beat to it.
Templates for textures/models/scripting do tend to suck in appearance. BUT you now have a 'complete' game, and all you have to do is change the textures and models to something better in quality, and it will already make the game much better!
Lighting is very dark indeed. BUT you already have the point lights and such, all you have to do is set the map properties so ambient is at, like, 7,7,7 or 10,10,10... just do that, and again, the level will look much better indeed
It'll still be dark, but more realistic.
After i play the demo, I'll add more comments.
Keep this in mind: Most people havn't even completed a project of any sort. Even with templates. Also a lot of people think a game has to have the quality of Halo or Doom3 to be 'good'.
They're wrong, of course, so take any negative comments as ideas. Add ambient light, change the textures and models. Not only will you learn a new aspect of game design, but your project will become better and better as you go
This is actually a great start, and the learning of the templates should be mandatory for anyone who wants to make games. I think you did good so far. And i think you can make it even better!
Keep at it!

EDIT: I forgot to add that I like your logo and the trailer intro very much! Very professional!
